Help and FAQ
New to this? Read how prediction markets work — five minutes, and the rest of this page will make more sense.
Getting started
Macropredict is a real-money event prediction app. You browse a feed of real-world events and predict what will happen — say YES or NO on everything from crypto to politics to sports, and get paid when you call it right.
Browse the feed, find a market you have an opinion on, and pick YES or NO. That's it — your prediction is locked in and added to your track record.
Macropredict is free to use. You predict on real-world events with real money (USDC), and as your predictions resolve you build an accuracy track record over time.
No. Macropredict handles everything behind the scenes. When you sign up, a wallet is automatically created for you. You don't need to understand blockchain, private keys, or any technical details.
Event predictions
Event prediction lets people predict the outcome of future events. The price of YES reflects how likely the crowd thinks something is to happen — if a market shows 70% YES, the crowd thinks there's a 70% chance it will happen.
Markets are resolved based on publicly verifiable information and predefined criteria. When the event outcome is confirmed, the market closes and correct predictions are paid out. Macropredict checks market outcomes daily.
The percentage (e.g., 72% YES) represents the current market price — essentially the crowd's estimated probability that the event will happen. It's driven by how people are predicting.
If your prediction is wrong, you lose the amount you put in. Only predict with what you can afford to lose.
Wallet and money
USDC is a stablecoin — a digital dollar that always equals $1 USD. It's issued by Circle and is one of the most trusted currencies in crypto. When you fund your Macropredict wallet, you're adding USDC.
Tap the Fund button on your profile page. You can buy USDC with a credit card, debit card, or bank transfer through our integrated funding provider. The USDC goes directly to your Macropredict wallet on Polygon.
Go to your profile, tap your wallet balance, then tap Withdraw. Enter the amount and the Polygon wallet address you want to send to. There's a small network fee (paid in POL) for the transaction.
Your wallet is secured by Privy's embedded wallet infrastructure. Macropredict never has access to your private keys. Your funds are held in a self-custodial wallet that only you control.
Track record
Accuracy is the share of your resolved predictions you got right — correct predictions divided by predictions that have settled. Pending predictions don't count until their event resolves.
